In 2015 I bought my first camera. I worked with a photographer for a year as a newborn photo assistant. I loved photography but candles ended up being the kind of business I set my eyes on. All the while, growing the candle business I never stopped learning photography. I sold some prints and canvases but quickly realized I just wasn't confident enough to do that. I didn't want to loose my joy by making it a business. (NOT EVERYTHING needs to be a business, even if you are really good at it. Sometimes hobbies are just that. Hobbies.)
I have had people ask so many times about it but I also just replied that the photography was my hobby and just for myself.
One thing I've been working on is knowing I have been given a gift. It's not just meant for me to do, but for me to share. I've been sharing my photos for a long time but it was time to step up my game and finally say the words; I am a photographer.
I am a nature photographer.
I am a still life photographer.
My art is good enough because the Lord says it is.
My art is glorifying the Lord because He has made ALL things.
I am simply just taken what He has made and showing you what I see.
Infinite beauty in the every day.
I am very excited and nervous for this new facet of the Cultivate brand but it feels freeing to finally see these photos on PRINT.
